This is my first from them, and I am digging it. I have a couple of other mech kbs, but I wanted to get the custom keycaps. When I saw teh marigold and royal blue it was a no-brainer. I am also going to be building a OLKB Preonic keyboard next month but not sure I will type well with that layout.

Nice. I just picked up this Vortex Race 3 with Cherry clears as my latest board. One day I am probably going to get a WASD custom keyboard but for now I already have more keyboards than I really need.

A buddy of mine is obsessed with the Planck 40% OLKBs and he talked me into trying the Preonic. I will be building that kit out in a month or so once it ships.

I have never really got on with OLKBs. My muscle memory just fights me all the time. Meanwhile my friend had no issue when he bought one with blank keycaps.

I do want to do a kit one of these days when I have the time for it but will probably stick to a standard 60% layout. I have to say that in the 2 days I have been using the Race this 75% layout has become my new favorite layout and the clears are my new favorite switch.

I actually got this for work but wanted to play with it before taking to the office on monday. If I annoy people too much I’ll take the 910 into work and the WASD back home.

Is it a lot louder than the 910?
I got a CyberPowerPC keyboard for free with my computer and it is hellishly loud compared to the 910. I had never tried a mechanical keyboard before I got the 910 but I had heard a few and I was scared it was going to be too loud.

Oh man, I can geek out on some keebs. I love the Gulf keycaps! I almost bought a similar set, but decided against it. Regretting that now. My few little taps on the louder one did feel a little nicer. But I’m so used to non-mechanical boards, especially on laptops.
